Harrisville State Park was established in 1921 and is a main corridor for migrating birds and nesting. Birdwatchers have recorded over 300 species of birds here. A checklist of birds may be obtained at the park's headquarters building Monday-Friday between 9AM and 4PM.
This is a prime migration route for the Monarch Butterfly from late August to the middle of October. Please visit
www.monarchwatch.org and  www.journeynorth.org for more information.
